ESO Open House Day 2011
The public was given the opportunity to look at the Sun at ESO’s Open House Day 2011 in Garching bei München. Looking directly at the Sun is extremely dangerous, either with the naked eye or directly through a telescope, but using an appropriate filter it is possible to see sunspots with a telescope.
