Electric vehicles

Two electric cars driving in the Atacama Desert where the Paranal observing sites are located with the Auxiliary Telescopes in the background. This is one of the implementations that ESO is introducing to reduce its environmental footprint and limit its impact on the Chilean desert. The aim is to gradually replace 75% of ESO's petrol cars with electric cars over the next 10 years.
