Deze foto van de cluster van sterrenstelsels MACS J1149.5+2223 is gemaakt met de Hubble-ruimtetelescoop van NASA en ESA. De inzetfoto, gemaakt met ALMA, toont het zeer verre sterrenstelsel MACS1149-JD1 zoals het er 13,3 miljard jaar geleden uitzag. De verdeling van zuurstof zoals die met ALMA is gedetecteerd is rood ingekleurd.
