A close look at the globular star cluster 47 Tucanae
This video sequence pans across a wide view of the region of sky surrounding the Small Magellanic Cloud, finally zooming in on the patch of sky containing the bright and beautiful globular cluster 47 Tucanae. In the final sequence we see a detailed infrared view of the cluster, taken by the VISTA telescope at ESO’s Paranal Observatory in Chile.
