The open star cluster NGC 6193 in the constellation of Ara
Open cluster NGC 6193 is found in the constellation of Ara, or The Altar. It is marked in this map towards the top righthand corner of the constellation. Most of the stars shown here can be seen with the naked eye on a clear dark night. The cluster itself is easy to see in a small telescope but the surrounding glowing clouds are much fainter and much more of a challenge to observe visually.
