Comparison of views of the globular star cluster NGC 6362 from WFI and Hubble
This colourful view of the globular cluster NGC 6362 on the left was captured by the Wide Field Imager attached to the MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at ESO’s La Silla Observatory in Chile. This brilliant ball of ancient stars lies in the southern constellation of Ara (The Altar). The close up view of the core of the cluster on the right is from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope.
