Wide-field view of the Hercules galaxy cluster
This visible-light wide-field image of the region around the Hercules cluster of galaxies was created from photographs taken through blue and red filters and forming part of the Digitized Sky Survey 2. The galaxy cluster appears as a swarm of faint galaxies close to the centre of the image.
