M1 cell: moved up the mountain
Following successful tracking tests with MELIPAL and subsequent removal of the dummy concrete mirror at the MMB facility, the "empty" third M1 Cell is again moved up the mountain, to be stored under the MELIPAL structure until the installation of the 8.2-m Zerodur mirror in mid-November 1999.
