The stellar nursery NGC 6334 in the constellation of Scorpius
This chart shows the location of NGC 6334, the Cat’s Paw Nebula, in the constellation of Scorpius (The Scorpion). This map shows most of the stars visible to the unaided eye under good conditions, and NGC 6334 itself is highlighted with a red circle on the image. Although this stellar nursery is prominent in images, it is faint visually and needs a large telescope for a glimpse of the brighter parts.
