Architect’s rendering of the new ESO Headquarters Extension (interior view)

This artist’s rendering shows how the interior of the extension of the ESO Headquarters in Garching, Germany will look when completed towards the end of 2013. The innovatively styled new office building was designed by architects Auer+Weber. It will help to house the growing number of Garching staff, and be the cradle of the technological innovations needed for ESO’s ambitious projects such as the European Extremely Large Telescope.
