The Eyes in the constellation of Virgo
This chart shows the location of the pair of galaxies, NGC 4438 and NGC 4435, nicknamed The Eyes, in the constellation of Virgo (The Virgin). The map shows most of the stars visible to the unaided eye under good conditions, and the location of the galaxies themselves is indicated with a red circle. These galaxies can be easily seen with a small telescope, showing up as two faint oval glows among many others in this region, which is the core of the Virgo Cluster.
