Panning across the IC 1284 nebula
This video sequence offers a close look at IC 1284, a nebula located about 5500 light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius. The images in this video were collected by the VLT Survey Telescope (VST), which is owned by the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) and hosted at ESO’s Paranal Observatory in Chile.
