A special delivery for ESO
After a 10 000 km journey, the first 18 segments of ESO’s Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) main mirror arrived at ESO’s Paranal Observatory in Chile. In this image, they are being unloaded at the ELT Technical Facility where ESO engineers conducted extensive inspections to ensure they arrived safely.
